Can't highlight or make comments

I've now downloaded a free book as well as purchased a book my company wishes to discuss, and I am unable to make comments, highlight, or any of the options that we are supposed to be able to do. No matter what I do, none of these options are available. The only thing I can do is turn pages. What can we do to fix this? Asap?

    Hi Katherine,

    Are you trying to read your books using our web reader? If so, the highlighting and social features are not available quite yet. Both of those features should be available within the next few days.

    I am having the same problem, I am using my ipad. Sometimes when I select a text it will give the options to highlight, make a comment or shar but the majority of the time it gives me nothin... Just blue selected text.

    Are you upgraded to iOS 6, and have you installed the latest version of BookShout?

    Hi thanks for the quick response yes I am on iOS 6 and using the most current bookshout version

    Caleb – Can you try deleting and re-installing the app to see if this clears the issues you're seeing?

    Thank you for sending the screenshot. Can you please tell us which iPad you're using (1, 2 or New iPad) and which book you're experiencing this issue with?

    I am on the new ipad the book in the screen shot is "creature of the
    word"by Matt chandler, however, I am experiencing the problem with all book
    I've download about 8. Something I've noticed that might help with trouble
    shooting is that the first time I try to highlight upon opening the app it
    always works properly any time after that though is problematic...

    Caleb,

    We were unable to recreate this bug on the exact page and highlight you provided in your screenshot using the New iPad over wi-fi. We were still able to see the menu bar appear after selecting text multiple times. Are you able to highlight text multiple times with the menu bar appearing in other apps (Safari, Mail, etc.)?

    We appreciate your feedback and we'll continue to investigate and correct this bug you're experiencing.

    Hi yes the menu bar still appears in all other apps, bookshout appears to
    be the only one that I'm experiencing this problem with. I have downloaded
    the newest update and it am still experiencing the same problem. If there
    is anything I can do to help with the situation don't hesitate to let me
    know. I really believe in what you guys do And am happy to assist any way I
    can.
