    Good Morning Tony,

I am sorry you encountered these errors. Can you please tell me if this is happening for all your ebooks or just one? When you do try to use the definition are you given a blank results or does the app crash? I thank you in advance for your help in resolving this error.

    Good Morning Tony,

Our team has been working on a fix for the word count. Can you please try now and confirm if your words read is still being lost? As for the definition not displaying I was only able to reproduce the error on an iOS version 10.0 device. Can you please tell me the version of your iOS device? If you are on version 10.0 I would suggest updating to the latest version which is 10.1 which does have a fix for the definitions not being displayed.

    Thank You,

    Good Afternoon Tony,

Can you please try deleting the app then reinstalling? It could be that the app did not fulling install the first time. Please let me know if this allows the definitions to appear.

    Thank You,

I have not installed a dictionary.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Made no difference. Still no definition function.

    Appreciate the efforts.

    Good Morning Tony,

Can you please access your devices settings and go to dictionary? Once here you will see a list of dictionaries. If you have a dictionary downloaded you should see a icon to the right of the text. If there is no icon here please tap on the Apple Dictionary to download the dictionary. Once this is done you should be able to define words. Below I am adding steps on how to access the Dictionary.

    Steps:
    - Open the settings. - Tap on General. - Scroll down and you will see the Dictionary option. - Tap on Dictionary
    - Here you will see a list of dictionaries. - Tap on the Apple Dictionary to start downloading. - Once this is done please try defining text once more.

Please let me know if this works for you.

You were on the right track. The Apple Dictionary did not work. I tried the American New Oxford Dictionary and it works now.

Darn Apple update: mess a lot of things up!

    Thanks for all your help!

    Good Morning Tony,

I'm glad to have been able to help. This is why I usually wait till 2 to 3 updates to a new version of the apple iOS to upgrade. It always does something to my settings too. If you need anything else please feel free to contact me.

    Thank You,
