Download
Hi,
I purchased two e-books from Harper Collins. As they are partnered
with BookShout, I have access to these books through my BookShout
library (I signed in with my HC credentials).
However, I would like to download these books on my pc in an *.epub
format to be able afterwards to transfer them on my Sony
e-reader.
How can I do this?
I appreciate your help.
Kind regards,

Good Morning Severine,
Unfortunately we do not provide epub downloads to PCs. Our contracts with the publishers only allow us to download ePubs to mobile (tablets, phones) devices. You can use the Bookshout! App available on iOS/Android platforms.
Thanks,

Hi Fred,
Thanks for this answer. I understand.
But if download is possible on mobile, how do I do it? I installed the Bookshout! App on my Android smartphone (Wiko Rainbow). How can I download the books through it?
Thanks!

Hello Severine,
This link should help you download a book so you can read it using our app.
Once you sign into the app using your username and password you will be taken to your Bookshelf.

This should help me but I still have a problem (I’m probably stupid...). When I select “In the Cloud”, the App says “No Books Available”. So my next question is : how do I transfer the books to the cloud...?

Hello Ms. Laurent,
If the books are not in the cloud, they should be on your device. Let's try this. Select "On the Device" do you see your books listed?
Also go back to the homepage. If you tap the cover of the book you want to read it should open.
If you want to remove a book from your device (to save memory) but still have it "in the cloud" you can select to remove the book. Steps to remove a book are covered in the link below.

Does this help?

Thank you! It helps because I definitely can read the books in the App. The only thing is that I need to be connected to the internet. That’s why I would have liked to be able to retrieve an *.epub file that I would have been able to transfer onto my Sony e-reader...
Thanks all the same and sorry for being a pain...

Hello Ms. Laurent,
Once you have opened to books in the app they have been downloaded to your device. As long as you DO NOT Sign Out of your account you can read them without an internet connection. You can put the phone in Airplane Mode and you will still have access to your books.
Try it out. :-)
Thanks for using Bookshout!
